What is NTM? | |||||||||
NTM stands for Next Twelve Months. NTM figures are calculated by Infinancials from the consensus estimates, and give a calendarized vision over the next twelve months, starting from today?s date.
Why use NTM? | |||||||||
As NTM figures are calendarized, companies with different Fiscal Year End dates can be compared on the same basis. NTM figures are a continuous indicator, so there is no need to change the FYE regularly from one period to another, which can lead to discrepancies. NTM figures are therefore useful for building a history and analysing changes over time.
How are the NTM fields calculated?
The NTM is an interpolation of the next twelve months based on the consensus estimates for two years. The mathematical method used establishes the NTM value on a pro-rata of the two estimates, calculated using the number of days within in each fiscal year from today?s date.
